Chest bursters, face clingers and cliff hangers abound as Alien Day is set to make its return across the US this April 26th.
As the countdown continues for the new chapter in Ridley Scott’s Alien sci-fi thriller, Alien: Covenant, fans across the globe will be celebrating the big day via a live streaming event, worldwide screenings, new product launches and more.
Kicking the special event off in style, Fox Studios will host an Alien Day livestreaming event from its home in Los Angeles. Beginning at 10am on all Alien social channels and the newly launched Alien Universe Hub, fans will be able to interact with the cast via a question and answer session.
The event will be followed up with a Global One-Night Screening Event, broadcasting Ridley Scott’s original 1979 Alien and his 2012 follow up Prometheus.
Meanwhile, and returning for only 24 hours on www.AlienUniverse.com, Fox will unveil a new quiz every four hours and 26 minutes – a nod to the planet LV-426. Fans will answer a series of rapid-fire questions for a chance to win a VIP trip to Ridley Scott’s upcoming Imprint Ceremony at TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
A Fan Art Contest will also be held, with the chosen artwork transformed into a limited edition t-short premium available with the purchase of the Alien:Covenant Blu-Ray and 4K Ultra HD .
Fans are also being encouraged to stay tuned for product announcements, limited edition releases and big unveils.
Key licensees joining the Alien Day celebration include the likes of Dark Horse Comics, Audible, Titan, NECA, Hallmark, PPW Toys, Cool Props, Funko and more.
Fox Consumer Products is also partnering with multiple retailers including BoxLunch, FYE/TWE, Books-A-Million and Spencer’s Gifts, each of which will showcase exclusive Alien franchise merchandise.
