The Royal Horticultural Society has announced the launch of a new RHS stationery gift range from Frances Lincoln Publishers (part of the Quarto Group) in the form of the RHS Birds Writing Set.
The RHS Birds range will consist of three products: a journal, a pocket notebook set and a writing set. The RHS Birds Journal is a lined journal with four colour inserts, an expanding internal storage pocket and an elastic enclosure. It will retail for £9.99. The RHS Birds Pocket Notebook Set comprises three pocket notebooks, one with lined paper, one with graph paper and one with plain pages. It will retail for £7.99. Retailing at £12.99, the RHS Birds Writing Set offers 12 decorated notelets with matching envelopes in an attractive gift box.
Inspired by the illustrations of the RHS Linsley Library collection, the range includes hand-coloured engraved plates by John Frederick Miller from Cimelia Physica by George Shaw, published in 1796, coloured engraved plates from Mark Catesby’s 1754 publication The Natural History of Carolina, Florida and the Bahama Islands, and illustrations by George Brookshaw from 1819.
All three publications will be available at retail from September 7th. They will be sold at gift outlets as well as bookshops, museums and galleries, RHS shops, online bookstores and rhsshop.co.uk.
“Our continuing relationship with the RHS has enabled us to enhance our popular stationery ranges with some of the most beautiful botanical artwork from the past three centuries," said Andrew Dunn, publisher at Frances Lincoln. "We’re delighted to be once again partnering with this much-loved and inspirational brand.”
Shereen Llewellin, licensing executive, RHS, says: “This new range underlines Frances Lincoln’s reputation for stationery that is both useful and desirable, bringing RHS Lindley Library artwork to an elegant and practical selection of notebooks, journals and writing sets that will appeal to a wide and varied market.”
