Rocket Licensing is targeting a raft of new categories for Hotel Transylvania, ahead of the third film’s Summer 2018 release which joins the currently airing Disney channel series.
Brand owner, Sony Pictures Consumer Products has recently named Jazwares as the global master toy partner for the Hotel Transylvania franchise.For the UK territory, Rocket plans to target a number of categories in the summer-to-Christmas period during and following the film’s launch in 2018 and the continuing platform of the Disney Channel broadcast.
Rocket is now targeting apparel, dress-up, footwear, publishing and back-to-school stationery and bags to grow the brand in its early stages.
Greeting cards, calendars, bedding, jewellery, accessories, gifts and confectionery are also seen as important categories, especially in the run-up to Christmas 2018. All the major characters, notably Mavis, the daughter of Dracula, will inspire product themes and imagery.

Hotel Transylvania is a growing brand in the UK, with the animated sequel taking £22 million, a significant increase on the first film.
