WB launches Game of Thrones: Conquest for iOS and Android

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and HBO Licensing have partnered for the launch of Game of Thrones: Conquest, a new free-to-play MMO strategy game for iOS and Android devices.

Developed by Turbine and based on the award-winning HBO series, Game of Thrones: Conquest allows players to become a lord or lady in Westeros and define a strategy for conquering the Seven Kingdoms and claiming the Iron Throne.

Expect to make your mark on the seven kingdoms by creating your own house sigil, raising your army and sabotaging rival players as you make your way up the fantasy kingdom’s political ladder.

"The political manoeuvring of Game of Thrones has always been one of the most compelling elements of the show, and now players can live out that fantasy as they compete with thousands of other people for control of the Iron Throne,” said Tom Casey, VP, studio head at Turbine. “Players have the opportunity to betray their allies and unleash their most cunning schemes to gain more power, which can lead to some very intense and fun moments.”

Familiar faces from the HBO show and book series will appear in the game including such fan favourites as Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen and Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish.

“Every Game of Thrones fan has an opinion on who should rightfully sit on the Iron Throne, and now with Game of Thrones: Conquest these fans will have an opportunity to try to claim the throne for themselves,” added Jeff Peters, VP, Global Licensing at HBO. “We think fans are going to love this new opportunity to test their battle and strategy skills while exploring the world of Westeros.”

Game of Thrones: Conquest is available for download now on the App Store and the Google Play store. The game includes in-app purchases.
