PlayStation to launch ‘Totaku’ figurine line

At a glance, you would be forgiven for mistaking PlayStation’s new line of 10-inch figurines Totaku, for Nintendo wildly popular Amiibo line that has proved a hit with collectors and youngsters alike.

PlayStation’s figure line sees some of the platform’s favourite heroes immortalised in collectable form, including the likes of Crash Bandicoot, Bloodborne’s Hunter, God of War’s Kratos, Tekken’s Heihachi, Parappa The Rapper, LittleBigPlanet’s Sackboy and a racing ship from F-Zero.

Unlike Amiibo, the figures do not offer NFC functionality nor in-game incentives, meaning these collectables are for aesthetic purposes only.

Made by ThinkGeek, the figures will debut in Gamestop stores on March 23rd for $9.99 each. PlayStation has yet to confirm a UK rollout of the line.
