Silvergate Media details ‘strongest production slate to date’

International TV production and brand licensing company, Silvergate Media has detailed its expanding kids’ animation production slate.

Billed as its ‘strongest year to date,’ the roll-out is buoyed by numerous high-level commissions with Nickelodeon and Netflix, as well as new content for its hit series, Octonauts.

The roster marks the company’s most ‘extensive and diverse line-up since being established in 2011.’

In its third standalone commission from Silvergate Media, Nickelodeon has ordered new pre-school animated series, Fashion Ally. Created by Silvergate Media’s EVP of creative content, Paula Rosenthal, the show is set in the heart of New York and follows the little girl Ally.

40 x 23’ epsiodes are planned to premiere on Nickelodeon.

Menawhile, Chico Bon Bon: Monkey with a Tool Belt is a fast-paced action-comedy for pre-school boys. The series is executive produced by Silvergate Media’s EVP of creative content, Kurt Mueller and is readying for a 2020 debut on Netflix.

The firm also continues to ramp up its own content offering with a sixth series of its pre-school hit Octonauts. Episodes will roll-out globally from 2020 and this new instalment will be a significant step change for the established franchise.

Silvergate is producing two new 60-minute kids’ films for theatrical release in China.

“Silvergate Media is now a significant creative force in pre-school TV and is building its production slate in the broader children’s market,” said Waheed Alli, CEO at Silvergate Media.

“We have had smash hits in the USA, China, Europe and Australia with more on its way.”

Alongside these new developments, Silvergate Media continues in production with content for its existing commissions. These include Hilda and Sunny Day.
