Fox details licensing portfolio for new kids’ animation Spies in Disguise

Fox is making its return to the kids’ animation licensing space with its new buddy action comedy, Spies in Disguise.

Starring the voice talent of Will Smith and Tom Holland, the new launch lands in theatres in April 2019 with a host of licensees across toys and games, publishing, apparel, sleepwear and home already lined up.

Following the global box office hits The Peanuts Movie, Rio and Ice Age, Twentieth Century Fox’s Spies in Disguise continues the studio’s expansion within the family animation space.

Toy State, HarperCollins Children’s Books, Centum Books, Hachette Livre Group, New Moda, Hybrid, Global Brands Group and Titan Books have each joined the portfolio of licensees for the new IP.

Will Smith is the voice of the super-skilled spy, Lance Sterling while Tom Holland is Walter, a scientific genius who invents gadgets.

Jim Fielding, president of 20 Century Fox Consumer Products, said: “Spies in Disguise is a vibrant world of adventure and honour – showcasing the surprising length the characters go to for true friendship.

“Fox Consumer Products is delighted to work with leading global partners to celebrate a cool and modern animated story. These rich licensee collaborations offer kids the chance to play out the big screen spy missions in engaging and fun ways.”
