Half Moon Bay has launched a new collaboration with the eco-friendly coffee cup brand Huskup with a new Harry Potter-themed range.
Huskup offers reusable travel mugs made of rice husk instead of plastic, providing a 100 per cent biodegradable alternative.
The aim is to reduce the numbers of single use coffee cups heading to landfill. Rice husk cups are said to outshine reusable plastic or bamboo cups by being 100 per cent biodegradable, plastic and BPA free and dishwasher and microwave safe.
Having launched a successful partnership earlier this year, Half Moon Bay was keen to combine Huskup’s technology with its best-selling license.
The four new designs showcase iconic Harry Potter artwork, including house-elf Dobby and the famous Marauder’s Map. Each cup is presented in a Forestry Managed stock gift box and finished with a recyclable silicone lid and sleeve.
Richard Milton, owner of Huskup, said: “I am excited to be working with such a loved franchise and it will be great to see Harry Potter fans getting involved in saving the world too.
“Being the first to put Harry Potter designs on an eco-friendly reusable coffee cup is really exciting and innovative.”
The collection is scheduled to land in September and Half Moon Bay is expecting it to ‘make magic’ among Europe’s coffee culture.
