Blizzard Entertainment has unveiled its new Nerf Rival Overwatch D.VA Blaster at ChinaJoy in Shanghai.
The video game studio chose China’s Digital Entertainment Expo and Conference as the site of the big reveal, a Nerf blaster designed in the style of D.VA’s signature accessory in Overwatch.
The Blaster is the second in the series developed in collaboration between Blizzard Entertainment and Hasbro’s Nerf Rival brand, a deal announced earlier this year to bring Overwatch accessories to real life play.
The item itself holds three Nerf Rival rounds, and blasts at a velocity of up to 80 feet per second. It comes equipped with a spring-action mechanism, a ready indicator and a safety lock.
As an added ‘Easter egg’ for fans, it even features D.VA’s signature bunny charm.
T he Nerf Rival Overwatch D.VA blaster will launch in 2019.
Overwatch now boasts a player of 40 million worldwide. The brand continues to drive a robust merchandising programme with brands like Nerf. The latest reveal follows the grand unveiling of the Nerf Rival Overwatch Reaper Wight Edition blaster earlier this year.
