Mobile game developer Pixowl is introducing its ‘biggest addition to date” to the popular Goosebumps: HorrorTown app title.
A Halloween haunting is heading to mobile and smart devices across the globe this scare-season as the world-builder games developer launches a new Haunted Halloween storyline this month.
The addition has been made as Goosebumps 2: haunted Halloween opens in cinemas this month.
The game is based on RL Stine’s hit Goosebumps book series, licensed by Scholastic, in which players must build and manage a seemingly quiet town where all is not as it seems. Players interact with the human and monster sides as they collect the likes of Slappy the ventriloquist dummy, and scare townfolk.
In the new Haunted Halloween event, the residents of HorrorTown are subjected to a terrifying surprise from Slappy as he aims to bring the town to the brink of chaos and destruction.
“Since launch, Goosebumps: HorrorTown has provided players with an ever-growing assortment of characters, monsters and adventures set in RL Stine’s scarily fun world and our new Haunted Halloween event is the biggest addition to the game yet,” said Arthur Madrid, CEO and co-founder of Pixowl.
“Only your efforts can prevent Slappy from destroying everything the town’s residents have built, so join other Goosebumps fans in HorrorTown as Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween opens.”
