Drivers in Queensland can now display their passion for the emoji brand with personalised number plates, while Italian fashionistas can wear their own favourite emoji icon on a range of underwear, home wear and pyjamas.
It’s all part of a the latest sweep of international deals secured by the emoji company as it continues to build its global network of licensing partners across the lifestyle and fashion sectors.
Through a deal brokered by Merchantwise Licensing with Personalised Plates Queensland, Australians can now add emoji characters to their vehicles. It’s a world-first concept that will see a range of the five most popular emoji designs now available to drivers who can mix three letters and two numbers on white on black design, with their choice of emoji character.
“We are excited about this meaningful partnership Down Under,” said Marco Hüsges, CEO of the emoji company. “This partnership is another perfect example for the band width of the emoji brand and underscores its endless licensing opportunities.”
PPQ’s general manager, Taylor Clifford, added: “With demand for personalised plates continuing to rise, we knew that we had to give our customers more ways to differentiate themselves when they’re on the roads and let their personalities shine through.

Meanwhile, in Italy, emoji’s Italian licensing agent Maurizio Distefano Licensing has secured a new agreement with Tezenis Calzedonia Group, a network of stores featuring underwear, home wear and pyjamas for men, women and children.
A new deal will see the launch of a capsule collection dedicated to the popular icons.
Tezenis is a major brand in Italy with a strong international presence in more than 500 stores in over 18 countries.
Tezenis has enjoyed particular success with underwear and home wear collections aimed at young men and women as well as kids. The emoji brand manages to mirror this appeal, fitting nicely with the Tezenis style.
