AMC’s The Walking Dead has walked straight into Foot Locker thanks to a new and exclusive partnership with Puma for a zombie apocalypse themed line of footwear.
Brokered on behalf of AMC by Striker Entertainment, the deal sees the pop cult TV series take over the Puma GV Special brand with a specific nod to the current storyline of the mysterious Whisperers from season nine of the show.
Each pair of trainers in the line features hand-painted dirt patterns and custom leather detailing on both the tongue and the heel of the shoe. Additionally, The Whisperers’ leader Alpha is stamped on the insoles of the Puma GV Special.
“When I got the call about the project, I knew the storyline of The Whisperers was going to play a very important role in how I brought this shoe to life,” said Alexander-John, Puma’s sneaker customiser.
“I have done many product collaborations with Foot Locker over the years and this one is right up there with my all time favourites. I hope these Puma shoes take the show’s fans even deeper into the world of The Walking Dead.”
