Global broadcasters sign up for The Jim Henson Company’s latest

The Jim Henson Company has secured a number of global broadcasters to begin airing the latest episodes among its portfolio of popular pre-school series, including Dinosaur Train, Dot and Doozers.

Leading broadcasters across Europe, Australia and Asia have signed with the studio to bring new episodes of its award-winning portfolio to audiences this year.

Spain’s TV3 and Ireland’s TG4 have acquired season five of the six-time Emmy-nominated and Parents’ Choice Silver Honour animated series Dinosaur Train, that will begin rolling out in the US this summer on PBS Kids. TV3 has also secured the rights to seasons one to four.

This year, Dinosaur Train will be celebrating its 100th episode milestone as it continues to explore natural science with Buddy the T-Rex and his family of Pteranodons. Together they visit different climates, go underground, under the sea and in the air in search of the unknown.

Meanwhile, Australia’s ABC, France’s Piwi+, Spain’s TV3 and Ireland’s TG4 have acquired season two of Parents’ Choice Silver Honor Award-winner Dot, based on the popular children’s book by Randi Zuckerberg. Season two launched in the US in October 2018 on Universal Kids, NBCUniversal’s Cable Entertainment.

Season one of the series has also recently been acquired by TV3 and India’s Viacom 18.

Additionally, Germany’s KIKA has acquired season two of Doozers; and India’s Viacom18 has acquired season one of the series. Doozers, a CG animated Hulu Original, features the wildly popular characters from the classic Henson series Fraggle RockWith Doozers, preschoolers learn about design thinking, making eco-friendly choices, becoming more aware of their surroundings, and understanding how things work.
