Forbidden Planet has signed an exclusive new deal with Sanrio to launch a new range of apparel and accessories for its popular properties, Gudetama and Aggretsuko.
The new deal will include t-shirts, hoodies, mugs, tea towels, magnets and travel pass holders. They will be available from April in Forbidden Planet stores and www.forbiddenplanet.com.
Gudetama launches in time for Easter, with planned activity in the Forbidden Planet London Megastore on Good Friday – aptly renamed Gude Friday. Meanwhile, Aggretsuko will arrive in time for the global launch of its second season on Netflix later in 2019.
“We are really excited about the partnership with Forbidden Planet which is a great destination for these Sanrio brands. Gude-Friday will even see our lazy egg get out of bed and make an appearance for the launch at the flagship store,” said Sabrina Segalov, senior licensing manager at Sanrio.
“Later in the year the rockstar of the Kawaii world, Aggretsuko will launch with the UK’s first range of products, we can’t wait to see this instore.”
