Disney’s first The Lion King trailer lands punch to the ‘feels’ spot

The first full trailer for Disney’s The Lion King remake has just landed like a whacking great punch to the ‘feels’ spot… not just for Licensing.biz, but seemingly for fans the world over.

Turn the ‘cuteness contrast’ setting on your screens all the way down, unless you want to be rendered as witless at the sensory overload of baby Simba and Nala bounding across the African plain, as we have been.

The upcoming movie is not technically a live-action remake, but a CG adaptation of the classic The Lion King.

James Earl Jones returns as the voice of Mufasa, while Donald Glover takes on our hero Simba, Beyonce as Nala, Seth Rogen as Pumba and Billy Eichner as Timon.

The film will arrive in theatres on July 19th this year… we won’t be crying. You’ll be crying. We’ve just been chopping onions.
