Lisle Licensing to grow Rainbow’s 44 Cats across the UK

The international content and animation studio, Rainbow has tapped Lisle Licensing to grow its new music-driven animation, 44 Cats across the UK.

The move has been billed as a “fantastic addition” to the Lisle Licensing portfolio as the firm’s director, Francesca Lisle looks to build out its portfolio of licensees here in the UK.

44 Cats debuted here in the UK on March 4th on Nick Jr, and will move onto Pop TV this September.

The series premiered in Italy last November where it secured record-breaking TV ratings. The animated series deals with a number of central themes such as tolerance, diversity and altruism through a combination of action and comedy, as well as library of musical numbers.

The CGI production follows four kittens called Lampo, Milady, Pilou and Meatball who form the band The Buffycats.

“We are delighted to be working with Rainbow on 44 Cats. It is exciting to see so many first class licensees already on board with the license, and we can’t wait to get to work,” said Francesca Lisle, licensing director at Lisle Licensing.

“It will be a fantastic addition to our portfolio.”

Rainbow’s head of CP sales, Matteo Olivetti, added: “We are thrilled to be working with Lisle Licensing and look forward to bringing the enthralling energy of 44 Cats to the UK.”
