Mojang and Warner Bros. date live-action Minecraft movie…three years from now

Mojang and Warner Bros. have finally dated the release of the long-awaited Minecraft movie, tantalising fans with a three-year wait until the live-action feature makes its appearance.

Mojang announced that the film will premiere on March 4th 2022, having been in the works since 2014.

According to a post from the makers of the hit video game, the Minecraft film will be the ‘story of a teenage girl and her unlikely group of adventurers. After the malevolent Ender Dragon sets out on a path of destruction, they must save their beautiful, blocky Overworld.”

Writers Aaron and Adam Nee, are also said to be working on a Masters of the Universe film adaptation.
