It’s only gone and happened. LEGO has put the rumours to rest and answered the call of every pop culture fanboy and fangirl across the globe, with the unveiling of its LEGO Stranger Things set.
In what has been billed by many across the pop culture scene as “the perfect homage” to the hit Netflix series, the Stranger Things scene takes fans from the Byers’ house and on a journey into the dark world of The Upside Down, with a simple flip of the set.
This 2,287-piece set is called The Upside Down, depicting the two worlds in which the show plays out. It includes minifigures of Will, Mike, Lucas, and Dustin, as well as Eleven, Chief Hopper, Joyce Byers and the Demogorgon.
The house itself features a lot of the show’s details, including Will’s bedroom, a drawing of Will the Wise, the telephone and the alphabet wall adorned with Christmas lights.
The building set comes with a 16+ age suggestion and was first unveiled to UK LEGO fans at a signing event at midnight last night at the LEGO Store on Leicester Square, London.
The Upside Down comes with a £180 price tag and will be on sale from June 1st this year. The third season of Stranger Things will land on Netflix later this year.
