Wow! Stuff promises to push innovation with big franchise reveals at Distoy

Wow! Stuff may be remaining tight-lipped over just what it has in store for this year’s Distoy when the team behind the boundary-pushing Harry Potter Invisibility Cloak descends upon the London event, but promises a range that will continue to push the envelope on a ‘global scale.’

Following its recent reveal of the AR fuelled Invisibility Cloak, this UK-based firm will be unveiling its latest in pop culture and toy innovations, as well as a raft of new brands at Distoy later this month – a show it calls a “must exhibit” for any company looking to gain a global foothold.

This is precisely what Wow! Stuff is now eyeing, looking to grow its international presence all powered by a “portfolio of big name brands.” The show, running from May 28 to 30 will mark only the second year of attendance for Wow! Stuff.

“In the past we attended to meet distributors in one-on-one’s at their showrooms but now it’s become a ‘must exhibit’ show for product manufacturers like ourselves,” said Dawn Lavalette, Wow! Stuff’s commercial director.

“It’s got a great vibe and as our business has become global the time is right to make Distoy a permanent place to be and to meet our partner distributors for early review of Spring/Summer 2020 and Autumn/Winter 2020 ranges.”

Wow! Stuff will be represented by EMEA director of sales, Wibo Westdijk, Alice Yung, director of sales, Asia Pacific and Dawn Lavalette who represents overall global sales.

Wow! Stuff has stated that the ‘big name brands on the books for 2019, 2020 and beyond,’ will remain “largely secret for now,” but subtle hints included in a press release point towards some major movie franchises, and some with proven bite and a powerful punch at retail to date.

New categories for Wow! Stuff include pre-school girls and boys, five to eight girls alongside continued innovation in seven to 12 boys/girls and pop culture fan-based lifestyle products from Harry Potter to Rick and Morty and more.
