ITV Studios celebrates Watership Down at RHS Chelsea Flower Show this week

It’s all go for the Royal Horticultural Society this month, as the RHS Chelsea Flower Show prepares to welcome a troupe of Watership Down garden sculptures as created by the ITV Global Entertainment licensee, Robert James Workshop.

Visitors to the show this week will find the collection populating a stand alone garden celebrating the literary masterpiece Watership Down which was reimagined in CGI last Christmas as a two-part series on the BBC and Netflix.

The series featured a voice cast including James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Gemma Arterton and Sir Ben Kingsley.

In addition to the bronze sculptures from Robert James Workshop, the licensing programme run by ITVS GE for Watership Down includes calendars from Carousel Calendar, personalised gifts from Signature Gifts, charms from Licensed to Charm, fine art ceramics from Moorcroft, bronze figurines from Nemesis Now, cards and stationery from Studio By Gemma, and a range of books from Pan Macmillan.

Meanwhile, the Royal Horticultural Society is continuing to grow its own licensing efforts, having launched a new seed range in partnership with Mr Fothergill’s Seeds.

The launch follows the continued success of the joint-branded vegetable and flower seed ranges that were launched back in 2017. Mr Fothergill’s now plans to extend the offering with a range made up of six selected varieties presented in 16 flower and vegetable seed collection packs.

Cathy Snow, RHS Licensing Manager, said: “Our first collaboration with Mr Fothergill’s resulted in a popular and very successful vegetable and flower seed offering. The latest extension to that offering is, we feel, a worthy addition that will delight gardeners everywhere.”
