Copyrights Group and Rockefeller partner for new Paddington stage show

Copyrights Group and Rockefeller Productions have partnered to bring Paddington, the star of children’s books and both big and small screens, to the stage in a new live show.

Launching in 2020, the stage will target a pre-school audience and will feature, for the first time, Paddington on stage in puppet form. The show will launch first in the US and Canada from 2020 and will be created by Jonathan Rockefeller, Rockefeller Productions.

“The Paddington books were a staple of my childhood. The antics of the kind-hearted and accident-prone bear have always made me and so many others, smile. I am thrilled to bring this celebrated bear to the stage in a way that audiences have never experienced him before.” said Jonathan Rockefeller.

“Paddington has been entertaining audiences for over 60 years through the pages of books, to movies and he will be appearing soon in a new animated TV series. We are excited to be working with Rockefeller Productions to bring Paddington to the stage and to enable young kids and their families to enter into Paddington’s world and engage with him,” added Polly Emery, SVP brand and international licensing, Copyrights Group.
