Boat Rocker’s The Next Step extends Pineapple Dance Studios partnership with merch line-up

Boat Rocker Studio’s leading dance property The Next Step has extended its partnership with Pineapple Studios, launching a raft of co-branded merchandise across apparel, bags, stationery and dance accessories.

The products will launch this autumn/winter and will be available initially from Pineapple’s store in London’s Covent Garden and via its online shop. It will also feature in Pineapple stockists across the UK and online, before launching to mass retail outlets.

The mrchandise roll-out is an extension of the already successful partnership between The Next Step and Pineapple Dance Studios that saw Next Step branded dance workshops held at the studio’s Covent Garden location over Easter and half-term holidays in April and May.

Featuring music and choreography from the popular reality style tween drama, the classes were a sell-out leading to further dates being scheduled across the summer holidays.

The Pineapple dance studio is also the rehearsal home for the cast ahead of the new The Next Step Live – Absolute Dance UK tour this autumn, featuring  nine dancers from the television series, including Briar Nolet (“Richelle”) who impressed judges during the Redemption round on th US dance TV series, World of Dance.

The tour gives fans a chance to get up close and personal with The Next Step cast members, featuring solos, duets, trios and group numbers choreographed to popular hit songs, along with original music from the show.

After touring Australia, the UK leg of the tour kicks off in Glasgow on October 17, before landing in other major cities including London, Dublin, Manchester, Brighton and Newcastle.

Debbie Moore OBE, founder of Pineapple, said: “Our ‘Next Step’ dance workshops have been an amazing success so we know there is a huge appetite for all things associated with the show, and we’re excited to be launching this exclusive range this autumn. We’re also looking forward to staging more classes in the summer, and welcoming the cast for their UK live tour rehearsals.”

Kate Schlomann, executive vice president of brand management and content marketing, Boat Rocker Studios, added: “We are delighted to have found such a wonderful dance partner as Pineapple for The Next Step. The team’s expertise and the show’s huge appeal makes for a winning combination, and we’re looking forward to collaborating with them on this fantastic range.”

The Next Step follows the trials, tribulations and triumphs of A-Troupe, a group of dancers at the Next Step dance studio. It is produced by Boat Rocker Studios, with the participation of the Shaw Rocket Fund and the Canada Media Fund (CMF), and distributed globally by Boat Rocker Studios and BBC Studios.
