Uniqlo brings Blizzard video game IP to clothing ranges on global scale

Uniqlo, a juggernaut on the licensed fashion scene, has detailed a new partnership with Blizzard Entertainment to bring its popular gaming franchises Overwatch, World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Diablo III and StarCraft II to the apparel space.

The newly released t-shirts are part of Uniqlo’s spring/summer 2019 collection.

Across the range, the collaboration highlights elements from each of Blizzard’s hit video game properties, as well as its esports arm. The Overwatch collection includes shirts featuring the South Korean MEKA pilot and esports star, D.Va and Brazilian DJ Lucio.

Meanwhile, fans can declare their allegiance to the Alliance or champion the Horde in a set of World of Warcraft shirts, while the Diablo III collection features two designs depicting Diablo the Lord of Terror.

StarCraft II designs feature the insignias of the Earth-born Terrans, psi-powered Protoss, and hive-minded Zerg, while Heroes of the Storm features heroes and villains from across Blizzard’s game universe.

Hearthstone completes the collection, featuring designs that evoke the ‘spirit of a friendly, crackling tavern fire.’

The collection is now available at Uniqlo retail locations across the US, Australia, Canada, China, the EU, Haiti, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.
