Brands with Influence to manage global licensing for Denmark’s LuckyBoySunday

Brands with Influence has been appointed to manage the worldwide licensing programme for the Danish brand, LuckyBoySunday.

Already a successful brand in Korea, LuckyBoySunday’s licensing programme spans deals with Dunkin’ Donuts and the fashion label Roanjane. Brands with Influence will look to expand the licensing programme on an international scale.

As the Worldwide Agent, BWI has already agreed a deal with License Connection for the Benelux region, and is working closely with the existing agency Heros in Korea. Over the coming months BWI will be looking to partner with agents in key territories including Japan, France, and the USA.

LuckyBoySunday started as a range of soft, knitted toys created in Copenhagen by the designer Camilla Korschen, but it has spread its wings with distribution in 38 countries worldwide and across a range of home furnishings, babywear, and toddler fashion.

Now Brands with Influence will be looking to consolidate the success of the brand so far by expanding the range of categories and its international reach.

LuckyBoySunday creator, Korschen, said: “We have been quite overwhelmed by the love and demand for our designs and products. The experience in Korea has been phenomenal and we quickly realised we needed professional help in expanding our licensing programme.

“After meeting with BWI at our office in Denmark we were excited about the plans for the brand and team who will be helping us grow.”

Martin Lowde, MD at Brands with Influence, added: “When we were first approached by LuckyBoySunday we were blown away by the cuteness of the characters and their instant appeal. This is a brand that works across the age groups.

“Initially it is a design led brand, but we also see great potential for it to grow into animation and story telling. It has a loveable innocence and great humour that is really engaging.”

Daphne Kellerman, MD at License Connection, concluded: “We immediately fell in love with the LuckyBoySunday designs and products. Because it is a brand that focuses on a (female) multi-aged target group, the possibilities for licensing will give so much more options to negotiate. With the commitment of influencers the brand can expand tremendously.”

Brands with Influence and License Connection will be at BLE in October and holding initial meetings with key partners.
