Aardman details Shaun the Sheep Movie 2

Popular children’s character Shaun the Sheep is making his return to the silver screen in the New Year.

Aardman and Studiocanal have released the first details of a sequel to the popular sheep’s 2015 outing Shaun the Sheep Movie, scheduled to enter pre-production in January 2017.

Shaun the Sheep Movie 2 will see Shaun and the Flock return for ‘another epic adventure’ billed as their biggest and most exciting to date.

“Shaun’s move to the big screen proved such a success with audiences around the world that he and the flock are very excited to be embarking on another big screen adventure,” said David Sproxton, co-founder and executive chairman at Aardman.

“Aardman is partnering with Studiocanal once again to produce another rip-roaring comedy, featuring Shaun and the rest of the gang in a story that takes them to even greater height of lunacy.”

Shaun the Sheep, directed by Mark Burton and Richard Starzak, grossed $106 million worldwide when it was released in 2015.
