Aardman enters partnership with Paramount theme park in Kent

Aardman Animations and Paramount Pictures have entered an agreement that could bring Wallace and Gromit to its new theme park in Kent.

Owners London Resort Company Holdings plans to open the park in Easter 2020, and it will now welcome a host of Aardman characters such as the popular Shaun the Sheep.

The animation studio announced the memorandum agreement earlier this week, when its tweeted: “We are delighted to announce we will be part of #LondonParamount. Exciting times @ParamountResort.

David Testa, director of London Resort Company Holdings, said: “Our agreement with Aardman will bring a number of the nation’s favourite characters to the resort and introduce them to a whole new international audience.”

The Paramount theme park will open on the Swanscombe Peninsula in north Kent an is expected to create up to 27,000 jobs.
