Aardman has partnered with Skanes Djurpark to bring the first international Shaun the Sheep family attraction to Sweden.
Under the new partnership, the pair will aim to bring visitors into the world of Shaun the Sheep in 3D, while delivering the park’s six key values: play, learn, share, explore, magic and excitement.
Attractions at the park will invite visitors to see, feel, taste and experience the world of Shaun that until now has only been seen on TV and in cinemas.
The attraction will feature in the Swedish theme park, Skanes Djurpark, located in Hoor, 45 minutes from Malmo.
The Shaun the Sheep Land will open early in the summer of 2016 and is budgeted to cost around £5 million to develop.
“Aardman strives to collaborate with like-minded partners who share our core values in providing quality family entertainment experiences,” said Sean Clarke, head of rights and brand development at Aardman.
“We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with Skanes Djurpark and the Lund Group to premier Shaun the Sheep’s first ever international attraction in Sweden.
“It will be a world’s first and a great way to give families an opportunity to immerse themselves into the fun and excitement of Shaun the Sheep.”
