AC Worldwide launches official Terminator T-800 speaker to Kickstarter

AC Worldwide has launched a new Kickstarter campaign to help bring its Terminator T-800 Endoskeleton multimedia speaker to market.

An exact polished alloy replica of the robot created for the T1 movie, the new speaker feature glowing red eye sockets with a motion detecting camera in its left eye, cloud storage and voice-control using its in-built Alexa feature.

The team at AC worldwide is now looking for £135,000 in funding to take the speaker to the next stage of development.

Pledges towards the online campaign start at £5, giving fans a support mention on the product page, while for £240, users will receive a first batch Terminator T-800 speaker with a certificate of authenticity and a gift box as part of the early bird initiative.

Further one-off exclusives include a personalised speaker or a limited edition white gold unit.

AC Worldwide founder, Karl Grimsey, said: “We are truly very excited to have the opportunity to bring the T-800 to life, with a fully licensed replica – if you’re a Terminator fan, you’re going to love this.

“While the project is technically challenging and loaded with features, we have a solid track record of delivery. Of course, we know that this will resonate with fans of the Terminator movies, but we also hope it will be of interest to a broader group of sci-fi, design and technology lovers. We hope that everyone will help support the Kickstarter campaign so that we can bring this menacingly beautiful speaker and camera system to the market.”

With its in-built camera function, the T-800 speaker allows users to view what is happening in real time via the AC Worldwide T-800 mobile app.
