Agency revenue surges 15 per cent as The Smiley Company continues global growth

The Smiley Company is practically beaming right now, having signed eight new agents from around the world this quarter with more to come soon.

The firm’s founder and CEO, Nicolas Loufrani has detailed an increase in revenue of 15 per cent through new agents peddling the brand.

“Last year, agents increased their share of our revenues from less than five per cent of total sales to 15 per cent thanks to the arrival of Barth Montarello who is supporting its sales teams and regularly visiting big retailers with them,” he said.

The company CEO now aims to see the agent share of business revenue increase to 25 per cent by the end of 2019.

“We have also opened an office in Singapore headed by Marie Klopp – who used to work with Disney – to bring additional support to our APAC agents as the region is growing very fast for us. We are very proud to announce these new agents to our global Smiley and Rubik’s licensing agent partner alliance.”

New partners are now set to grow the brand in new global markets as Smiley looks to expand into new fashion and product categories.

“This increase in agents is a clear sign that Smiley and Rubik’s continues to be a popular must-have choice for consumers around the world,” said Barth Montarelo, sales director of USA and licensing agents for The Smiley Company.

Smiley and Rubik’s are now both eyeing expansion in South Korea, Chile, South Africa, Greece, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Russia, Indonesia and Australia.
