American Greetings secures rights for Downton Abbey eCards

American Greetings has been granted the rights to produce Downton Abbey eCards for sale via its online greeting cards websites.

Blue Mountain, Jacquie Lawson and American Greetings will be the online home for the collection of digital greetings cards featuring imagery from the popular period drama series.

The American Greetings deal was broekered by Spotlight Licensing and Brand Management, the agency appointed by NBCUniversal International Studios to oversee the Downton Abbey licensing programme throughout North America.

Fans of the series will be able to send Downton Abbey eCards via email and the Facebook social media platform.

“American Greetings came up with some very engaging ideas for Downton Abbey-themed eCards and we are delighted to be working with them to make Downton Abbey digital greeting cards available to fans who enjoy the fun and convenience of sending eCards to friends and loved ones via email and Facebook,” said Carole Postal, president of Spotlight Licensing and Brand Management.
