The Angry Birds Movie 2 will be the subject of a special party and presentation at an Haute Couture Runway fashion event at this year’s Milano Licensing Day.
The day itself is the work of Maurizio Distefano Licensing, the premium licensing agency for global and regional brands in Italy.
Milano Licensing Day will take place on September 13 at the Hotel Nhow in Milan – the fashion capital of Italy. Organised in partnership with Rovio Entertainment, an Angry Birds Movie 2 presentation will take place, ahead of the launch of the film at cinemas next year.
Angry Birds characters will be reimagined in a Haute Couture Runway fashion event in outfits created by Filippo Laterza.
“I was honoured to take on this important challenge,” he said. “Interpreting mobile gam and movie characters through an elegant and Haute Couture cut is a way for me to contribute to the increasingly young vision of high fashion.
“In fact I see it as a new form of art – an evolution of pop art, perhaps. Angry Birds is strong and creative and communicates this powerfully, which is, for me, a true source of inspiration.”
The Milano Licensing Day is being billed as a ‘major opportunity for MDL to showcase its brands,’ including the Angry Birds IP.
Maurizio Distefano, president and founder of MDL, said: “Milano Licensing Day is a not to be missed opportunity for visitors to get a first view of one of the movie events of 2019 – and to find out more about the latest additions to our high-performing portfolio of brands.
“We are looking forward to seeing you.”
