APP ROUND UP: Wizards vs Aliens, Uno and Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom

The Wizards vs Aliens TV show on Hub Network will be supported by a first-of-its-kind second screen app, available exclusively on iPad.

FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment and Magic Ruby announced the launch.

The Wizards vs Aliens app is available now on the App Store; the TV show premieres on Hub Network on June 1st.

Consumers will have an opportunity to sync the app with actual episodes of the show. As viewers progress through the series and continue using the sync feature, they will unlock additional content relevant to each episode and the progression of the storyline.

A “Wish List” can be e-mailed to parents that will allow them to highlight Wizards vs Aliens licensed products they hope to receive such as T-shirts, hats, puzzles and more.

Additionally, classic card game Uno launches on smartphones and tablets worldwide with Uno & Friends.

The game, from developer Gameloft and brand owner Mattel, is available for free on Android, iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

Other new branded apps include ones from Wizards Vs Aliens and Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom.

Uno & Friends lets users create games, invite friends and family to play, or challenge millions of Uno fans worldwide.

Since 2008, the original Uno app has become one of Gameloft’s most popular franchises with over 74 million downloads.

Finally, Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom Magic School app launches on the app store, courtesy of kids’ interactive publisher P2 Games. 

It’s available to download from the App Store for £2.99 and is playable with iPad, iPad Mini, iPhone and iPod Touch. It offers seven games inspired by the hit TV show. 

Magic School is the second app based on the BAFTA award-winning pre-school TV series currently airing on Channel Five’s Milkshake and Nick Jr, following Big Star Fun which debuted last year.
