Apple adds Disney-Pixar’s Toy Story characters to iWatch faces

Apple has added the cast of Disney-Pixar’s Toy Story to its stable of of Disney licensed characters to be featured on its iWatch.

Woody, Jessie and Buzz now join the line-up of characters that currently includes Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.

The new swathe of smartwatch software was unveiled at Apple’s Worldwide Developer’s Conference in San Jose, California this week.

“WatchOS 4 introduces new ways to make the Watch more personal to you,” said Apple’s VP of technology, Kevin Lynch.

The fourth generation Watch software also offers a new Siri-powered watch face.

This is designed to offer information that users need most throughout the day, including reminders, cinema tickets and activity updates. This is based on machine learning that looks at the apps the user looks at most frequently, along with their routine.

The new software also features an updated Music app and an enhanced Activity app with new monthly challenges.

The new watchOS 4 software is available for developers now and will land on all Apple Watches in the autumn.
