Archie Comics Publications has tapped CPLG to help it grow its iconic Archie Comics Universe across EMEA and Latin America.
Under the new partnership, CPLG will develop a licensing programme for teens and adults utilising artwork from across Archie Comics portfolio of popular titles, including the likes of Archie Andrews, Jughead, Betty and Veronica, Josie and the Pussycats and Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
The licensing agent will launch the licensing initiative with a focus on apparel and accessories to begin with, before building outwards across multiple other categories.
The Archie Comics line, which also includes the subversive Riverdale comic book series, is one of the longest running brands in the history of the comic industry, having sold over 2 billion comics worldwide and published in 12 languages.
The popularity of its characters has, over the years, spilled over into other media, too, including animation, TV, film and music.
