As the World Cup kicks off, Level 5 Abby debuts animated football series Inazuma Eleven Ares

Video game and children’s content specialist, Level 5 Abby has debuted its new animated football series, Inazuma Eleven Ares across a number of key markets.

With football fever currently spanning the globe amid the first week of the FIFA World Cup 2018, the new series launched on Canal J in France , YouKu in China Gulli Africa and Animax in much of Asia on June 15.

Inazuma Eleven Ares tells the story of a small but passionate football from a remote island, dealing with friendship, growing pains, sportsmanship and more. It is aimed at boys aged eight and upwards but has found a major following of female fans in Asia.

This is the latest instalment in the Inazuma Eleven franchise, which will build on the foundation laid by previous series, which number over 250 episodes, four movies and more than eight million Nintendo games sold to date.

New European broadcasters will be announced in the coming months, as well as video games in summer next year that aim to tap into the growing esports movement.
