Rockpool Licensing, worldwide agent for Brambly Hedge, has appointed Asiana Licensing to represent the classic children’s literary property in Korea.
Celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, Brambly Hedge is written and illustrated by Jill Barklem.
As part of the celebrations, new investment in the brand includes a fresh new look for the publishing programme Harper Collins’ Anniversary Treasury set to launch in October this year, a brand new style guide from Watermelon and new partnerships in the UK including Essex Wildlife Trust and furniture makers and British master craftsmen, Dragons of Walton Street.
Vickie O’Malley, MD of Rockpool Licensing said: “We’re thrilled to have Asiana on board. Their enthusiasm for Brambly Hedge and understanding of how to tap into the affection and tradition that exists for Brambly Hedge in Korea, impressed us greatly.”
Minkyung Kim of Asiana Licensing added: “The warm and familial feelings of Brambly Hedge have captured the hearts of many Korean people. So now, we are very excited to introduce Brambly Hedge consumer products to the Korean market through our strong and attractive merchandising programmes."
With classic and quintessentially British brand representing such attractive licensing opportunities in international territories, Rockpool is looking to meet potential agents and partners in other territories at Licensing Expo next week (booth J143).
