Atlantyca expands with kids’ property branch

Atlantyca Entertainment is expanding its production and distribution department with the launch of a new branch, Atlantyca IP Agency.

The new branch will focus on the sales of Atlantyca’s catalogue of children’s publishing properties.

Heading the new team, Atlantyca Entertainment’s Lucia Geraldine has been appointed as its sales manager.

Scott joined the company in 2008 and boasts production credits including production coordinator for the first season of Geronimo Stilton (pictured).

In her new role, she will be responsible for pursuing partners for the sales of the Atlantyca IP Agency’s catalogue of titles.

Caterina Vacchi, head of production department, executive producer at Atlantyca Entertainment, said: "We know that these properties have enormous potential.

"Taking Atlantyca’s 360-degree approach to brands, Atlantyca IP Agency’s properties have publishing, television, with strong licensing and merchandising potential.

"As our own in-house schedule is packed with our current production slate that includes “Geronimo Stilton” season 3, and “Bat Pat” schedules (with others in our pipeline), we formed the Atlantyca IP Agency as a dedicated entity to find third party partners.

"We see the immense value these various titles offer and we quickly recognized Lucia as the ideal person to pursue the new possibilities. Lucia’s in depth knowledge of our library and her years of production and development experience with our company made her the ideal candidate to spearhead our newest initiatives. We are thrilled to have her handle the sales for The Atlantyca IP Agency.”

Lucia Scott said: "We have so many creative children’s publishing propertis that have the opportunity to be exploited further.
