Australia Ninja Warrior has dominated primetime viewing across the territory since it launched to Australian television, and is now about to fling itself into licensing with the launch of a range of exclusive branded merchandise.
The popular brand extension agency, Asembl, has recently brokered a deal between Nine and the Australian sportswear company, BLK, to launch an extensive Australia Ninja Warrior branded sports apparel collection.
The range includes men’s and womens T-shirts, shorts, singlets, beanies, caps and hoodies, tees and cap for kids, as well as branded water bottles. The collection launches with the support of a dedicated online retail platform, social media programme and a billboard during broadcast.
According to the company, Australia Ninja Warrior has gripped the nation by allowing everyday athletes to take on the world’s toughest obstacle course. In its latest series, and for the first time on Australia Ninja Warrior, there will be a winner. The competitor who goes furthest on the course in the fastest time will take home $100,000.
Make it up Mt Midoriyama and the winner will pocket an extra $200,000 and the title of Australia’s first Ninja Warrior.
“Australia Ninja Warrior is the smash-hit programme that takes viewers through every jump, leap, heart-stopping victory and heart-wrenching fall as Ninjas get their shot at glory.,” said Asembl managing director, Justin Watson.
“We are thrilled to have brokered this deal on behalf of Nine. The sportswear range includes extensive products for men, women and kids, made with the high quality that BLK is known for.”
