Aykroyds and TDP Licensing back Numberblocks and Alphablocks with new clothing ranges

The popular CBeebies pre-school series Numberblocks and Alphablocks are jointly making their first move into clothing, having just signed with Aykroyds and TDP Licensing for nightwear, underwear and swimwear.

Thanks to new deals secured by the series licensing agency, Larkshead Media, the first products based on the shows will hit retailers this autumn/winter.

Both Numberblocks and Alphablocks continue to deliver high ratings on CBeebies and iPlayer.

‘The colourful world of Numberland and the twenty-six stunning Alphablocks living letters will cross-over perfectly into apparel ranges be they for cosy bedtimes, cheerful underwear lines or fun-splashing times in the water,’ read a statement from the firm.

The range will cover all three categories across both the Numberblocks and Alphablocks brands and the product launch timings will tie-in with a new series launch and other product category releases.

The deal comes hot on the heels of last month’s publishing announcement and reinforces the growing popularity of these delightful TV properties produced by Blue Zoo Productions, alongside creators Alphablocks Ltd.

With twice daily slots on CBeebies and a growing on-demand BBC iPlayer audience, the dynamic and unique series of five minute episodes, appeal equally to both boys and girls, as well as parents.

Dean Greasley, director of licensing at Aykroyds and TDP Licensing, said:Numberblocks and Alphablocks generate great educational content which is also full of fun for three to six year old boys and girls.

“The series has quickly built up a huge following which naturally caught our attention and we’re thrilled to be on-board early with the licensing programme and looking forward to launching product later this year.”
