Mattel’s leading fashion doll Barbie has teamed up with River Island to launch its first kids’ collection in celebration of Barbie’s 60th anniversary this year.
The collection marks the first time Barbie and high street apparel company River Island have collaborated, to launch a fashion collection for younger and older girls. The range is dance and streetwear inspired, with a monochrome and pink theme throughout.
Designed for mini fashionistas, the collection includes a black hoodie with a holographic print and the iconic Barbie logo, matching pink logo tee, leggings, and a one-sleeved dance inspired top, and a graphic top emblazoned with the Barbie slogan “You Can Be Anything” – to empower girls that they can be anything from an athlete to an astronaut.
The collection launched on November 10 this year and is available online and in selected flagship stores. The River Island Kids is aimed at girls aged from birth to 12 years starting from RRP £14.

This new collection gives girls the chance to show their style with Barbie and follows exciting collaborations across Europe this year with Primark, Samsonite, Puma, Sephora, Moleskine, and the Barbie Store Fashion Pop up currently in Liverpool ONE.
