The new app follows the popular characters of the CBeebies' hit show on an adventure in the park.

BBC launches first pre-school app for Sarah and Duck

BBC Worldwide and Scary Beasties have partnered to launch the first official pre-school app featuring CBeebies’ hit, Sarah and Duck.

Available to download from the App Store, google Play and Amazon, the new app allows kids and fans to join the pair on an adventure in the park.

Players can interact with their favourite characters through six animated games, encouraging kids aged two to six to develop their imagination and problem-solving skills.

The app also features ‘gated’ grown up areas, including a Help section.

Kids can play hide and seek with Duck, fly kites, feed ducks and more.

Peter Hickman, BBC Worldwide Digital Entertainment children’s producer, said: “It took us nearly a year and an extensive global search to find the right development partner capable of creating a world-class app for Sarah and Duck.

“We finally found Scary Beasties, a London based company who specialises in Children’s software, and we knew they would be the perfect partner for BBC Worldwide and Karrot Entertainment.”

The app, titled A Day at the Park with Sarah and Duck, costs £2.99 to download and is available now.
