The BBC will be premiering Pixar’s Toy Story 3 on Christmas Day this year.
The broadcaster is hoping to repeat the success of previous festive airings for the rest of the franchise, with Toy Story attracting 7.4 million viewers back on Christmas Day 2001 and Toy Story 2 pulling in 6.5 million viewers on the same day in 2005.
Other movies airing over the Christmas period on BBC1 include Cars 2, Gnomeo and Juliet, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom, Little Fockers and Megamind.
Elsewhere, BBC Four will be showing classic Ealing comedies including Titfield Thunderbolt, Whisky Galore and Kind Hearts And Coronets.
