BBC Worldwide bolsters consumer products division

BBC Worldwide Consumer Products has welcomed two new hires to the Consumer Products Division.

Katie Ball, joins as retail partnership manager, and Anita Majhu as licensing manager. Both bring a wealth of experience and focus to BBC Worldwide’s portfolio of brands.

Reporting to Rhidian Bragg, head of sales, consumer products, Ball’s primary responsibility will be developing and implementing Worldwide’s retail strategy across multiple brands, with a focus on brand representation.

Ball’s previous roles include two years at Nickelodeon UK as Retail Sales Executive, working across Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and pre-school launches PAW Patrol, Blaze and the Monster Machines and Shimmer and Shine.

Majhu joins BBC Worldwide as the licensing manager under softlines. She will report into Head of Licensing, Jason Easy, with a remit to consolidate and grow the softlines business.

Her categories will include daywear, nightwear and underwear. Anita has a wealth of softlines experience, joining from licensee TVMFL where she held the position of sales manager.

Jason Easy, head of licensing, added: "I am delighted to welcome Anita to the BBC Worldwide licensing team, Anita brings with her a wealth of softlines experience and knowledge. Her passion and expertise will help us drive our softlines business forward; she joins us at a very exciting time."
