King Features Syndicate has partnered with The hamilton Collection for a new series of collectible figurines featuring Betty Boop and teams of the NFL.

Three Boop Oop a Doops is the first figure in the collection and features the iconic character cheering on her favourite NFL teams.

Created in 1930 by animator Max Fleischer, Betty Boop is ‘one of the most popular licensed characters in entertainment among women and girls of all ages,’ a statement read.

The new collection is now hoping to tap into the growing popularity of the NFL among women, who according to Nielson demographic data, made up 46 per cent of the Super Bowl viewing audience this year.

“The Hamilton Collection has matched up two incredibly powerful lifestyle brands,” said Ita Golzman, vice president of domestic licensing for King Features.

“We believe fans will be cheering each new issue in the series. The intrinsic qualities of Betty Boop and the NFL teams complement each other well and will ensure the successful marketing of the co-branded merchandise.”

“We are pleased to partner with King Features Syndicate to introduce these figural bells,” added Kelli Edwards, general manager of The Hamilton Collection.

“Betty Boop is truly an icon, and we’re honored to have the ability to create new collections like this one that customers are sure to enjoy for many years to come.”
