The first music single from BinWeevils.com’s debut album ‘Bin Tunes’ has topped the children’s charts.
‘The Big Bin Weevil Ball’ has hit the number one spot on iTunes and Amazon following its launch on Monday.
Marketing activity included an exclusive on-air debut of the music video on Nickelodeon on Wednesday evening, immediately after Fred 3: Camp Fred.
Fun Kids Radio has signed up as a radio partner. ‘The Big Bin Weevil Ball’ had an exclusive first play on the station and upcoming activity includes a competition, banners and an on-air promotion.
The single will be followed with ‘Bin Tunes’ on July 29th, a new album.
Amelia Johnson, co-founder of BinWeevils.com, said: “This is a fantastic start to BinWeevils.com music debut and there are lots more exciting plans in the pipeline to keep our audience engaged in the run up to the album launch. As an album by kids and for kids, ‘Bin Tunes’ is already striking a huge chord with our audience.”
Over 35,000 children entered a competition earlier in the year to create lyrics to four of the songs on the album.
Eight children were chosen to sing on the album itself. And kids also helped design the album, by participating in an online vote to choose the best artwork for the album sleeve.
