The University of Oxford collection of furniture has launched in Harrods and will this year showcase at BLE 2013, too.
Marketed under the Timothy Oulton designer brand, the room set of classic furniture and accessories, inspired by Oxford’s 800 years of heritage and tradition, has been installed in the latest Timothy Oulton shop-in-shop concession on Harrods prestigious third floor furniture department.
A smaller but no less impressive display featuring key pieces will be located next to the Retail Lounge in front of the Brands Hall at Olympia.
Launched in 2011, a strong sales sheet encouraged Oxford’s furniture licensee Halo Asia to further invest in the Oxford brand, upgrading the university collection to their premium brand, Timothy Oulton, by September 2012. Since then, Oxford’s iconic furniture range has launched in Timothy Oulton stores and concessions in NY, Dallas, LA, Amsterdam, Hong Kong and UK (Harrods) with more room set installations planned in the coming months.
"Halo Asia has done a great job establishing Oxford in the interiors and home lifestyle category,” commented Chris Evans, MD of Oxford Limited, the licensor for the University of Oxford. “We have worked with their designers and visual merchandising team to create the quintessential Oxford look, paving the way for new licensees in complementary categories to join the Oxford programme.
Inspired by the furnishings of Oxford’s interiors and the sporting heritage of the University, the collection of over 50 pieces of furniture, decorative accessories and bags, many hand-crafted in premium vintage style leather and recycled wood, are named after famous benefactors and alumni of the University, as well as aspects of student life at Oxford.
The University of Oxford brand licensing programme is represented by Performance Brands at BLE, booth P35.
