Car manufacturer and international brand Volkswagen will deliver the second keynote address at this year’s Brand Licensing Europe event.
VW archivist Dr Ulrike Gutzmann will present the speech, titled Milestones and Magic – The History of Volkswagen.
The keynote will celebrate the firm’s iconic vehicles, romantic associations about travel and its advertising campaign and exhibition organisers, and Advanstar has revealed they are ‘delighted’ with the announcement.
Dr Gutzmann commented: "Millions of people feel great enthusiasm, even passion for their Volkswagen.
"People are excited about a brand new car providing them with up to date technical features. Others believe in the reliability of the Volkswagen making everyday life so comfortable for many years.
"And then there are those who love their vintage Beetle, Camper Van of Golf, bringing a glimpse of good old yesterday in to their present."
Using archive material, Gutzmann will explain how Volkswagen developed from a car manufacturer based in the North German countryside to a global name with twelve brands and over 100 factories.
At the free-to-attend event taking place in the Licensing Academy on Wednesday, October 16th, Gutzmann will also introduce people, products and the history of the German company.
Brand Licensing Europe 2013 takes place from October 15th to 17th at London’s Olympia.
