BLE 2016: Mattel readies expansive slate spanning Barbie, Thomas & Friends and Bob the Builder

Mattel is all set to showcase its vast portfolio of brands at BLE 2016.

The firm will be seeking opportunities around Barbie, which continues to boast partnerships across numerous categories including fashion and role play, while Mattel will also be detailing 2017 activity for Thomas & Friends, which includes new content alongside new toy and consumer product launches.

Elsewhere, this year saw the second series of the new look Bob the Builder air, and the franchise has also expanded with the launch of a range of toys from Fisher-Price and Smoby. The franchise will gain further traction with more licensees signed up to start rolling out consumer products in 2017.

Fireman Sam celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2017, and Mattel is set to bring to life the brand’s core values, continuing to position Fireman Sam as the ultimate fire and rescue hero for pre-schoolers.

At next week’s BLE, Mattel will also be showcasing opportunities around Hot Wheels, Fisher-Price and Monster High.

Mattel is based at stand E10 at BLE 2016.
