Blonde Sheep Licensing secures global rights to The London Studio portfolio

Blonde Sheep Licensing has secured the global representation rights to The London Studio’s multi award-winning portfolio of art and design brands.

The initial licensing focus will be on the Dream Big message, a new range that hones in on the growing trend for mindfulness and wellbeing in consumer products and consumer mindsets. The collection will feature inspirational quotes combined with unique styling.

Current licensees for this range include the likes of Ling Design, who launched greetings cards in 2018, and Brown Trout Publishers, who is primed to launch wall calendars and social stationery in 2020.

The London Studio itself was founded in 2007 by Soula Zavacopoulus and is ranked in the top 20 most creative and innovative businesses in the UK. Zavacopoulos’ work has featured in ITV’s This Morning, The Times, The Guardian and OK Magazine. It has also attracted a number of celebrity followers like Dannii Minogue, Boy George and Theo Pathitis, and has been showcased at the London Design Museum.

Blonde Sheep Licensing will now be presenting Dream Big and other designs at Licensing Expo in Las Vegas from June 4th to 6th. In addition to seeking licensees across stationery, HBA, home, apparel and gift at the show, Blonde Sheep Licensing will also be looking to secure sub-agents for the US and Australia.

“I wanted to create an uplifting and positive range, which make people feel happy,” said Zavacopoulos, principle and chief designer, The London Studio.

“I love to create work that makes people smile, so I often develop humour-led properties, but Dream Big! is different. It was born from the wellness and mindfulness movements that are ever growing in momentum. The themes are uplifting and positive, designed to bring joy to people’s days and to inspire us all to live our best life.

“I’m excited to be working with Natasha at Blonde Sheep to develop Dream Big! and with licensees starting to jump on board, I’m excited at the prospect of together creating a wide range of products that spread a little more happiness, positivity and joy into the world.”

Natasha Dyson, managing director, Blonde Sheep Licensing, added: “Soula is a very talented designer and that’s reflected in the success she’s seen to date with her range of various greeting cards. It’s a privilege to be working with Soula, not only to bring her designs to life but also because she’s one of the sweetest people I’ve met.”
