Bloomsbury grows consumer publishing division with new appointment

Bloomsbury has welcomed a new member to its consumer publishing division with a new intellectual property and brand development director.

John Lomas-Bullivant steps into the role having worked for the past seven years as a media and brand consultant and executive producer.

With over 25 years of media experience, Lomas-Bullivant has held tenure at leading names in the entertainment space including HIT Entertainment, Pearson, TV-Loonland and Kickback Media.

Emma Hopkins, managing director of consumer publishing, said: “We are delighted to welcome John to Bloomsbury. His experience in content and business development within the media sector will be invaluable to us in developing our own transmedia strategy and benefitting our authors and illustrators.

“He will increase our ability to maximise the value of our current and future rights portfolio, and also our ability to identify brand opportunities at acquisition stage.”

Lomas-Bullivant, added: “I am very excited to be joining Emma and the team at Bloomsbury. Helping them develop their IP and brand strategy across children’s and adult publishing is a fantastic opportunity.
